He made plans for our entire day. Well, he started the night before and gave me GORGEOUS flowers and a pre-anniversary card. The next morning he planned for us to watch the sunrise (too cloudy, no sun), so he gave card + present in bed, and he took me out for a special breakfast. Then we went to the Tennessee Smokies game (minor league baseball, feeder team to the Chicago Cubs). We got back into town and relaxed, then headed to RouXbarb for a freaking 7 course meal: #1) Gnocchi appetizer, #2) Mussels appetizer, #3) Spare ribs appetizer, #4) Seafood appetizer, #5) Two salads with cornbread, #6) Kobe steak with vegetables and sweet potato fries, #7) a dessert sampler with 4 different desserts. I literally put on 4lbs in twenty-four hours. What a wonderful hubby and what a wonderful third anniversary!!

Not out of Knoxville, not even very far, about 2 miles away from our current place, but it’s happening in one month.

This opportunity completely just fell into our laps and has been a whirlwind. It’s all happened in 5 days! We’re still renting, not buying, but the house has a bit more square footage. It’s 3 bedroom, 2 bath, open floorplan, double vanity in master bath, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fireplace, carport, outside shed, back patio, front porch, and a bunch of great details that make it worth it.

I’m very, very sentimental about our current house and it took some convincing for me to let go, but realistically we weren’t going to live there forever. We had looked at new places at the beginning of this year but we never found anything comparable so we decided to stay in the current house. All of a sudden this came out of nowhere and we really just had to jump on it before someone else did.

I had a conference yesterday in Nashville and Mark cleaned & mopped the whole house, so we are chillaxing today.

I just bought plane tickets!

We are arriving at 10:15pm on Wednesday, June 20th and we are leaving at 8:00am on Wednesday, June 27th.

We plan to go to a Cubs game while we’re in town and we wanted to go to the Taste of Chicago. Just found out the Taste got scaled down this year (BOO!!!) and won’t be happening until July 11th. So that sucks, but oh well!

PS, I did buy plane tickets which means that Big Sky isn’t coming with. We will miss him dearly, but he’ll be having a great time at doggie camp.
